Welcome Cousins!

OK. We'll see how much the Clouse's can keep up with technology. Our women's leader at church started a dialogue and I started thinking that it could be a fun way to keep in touch with you all- across many states and even those of you only a couple hours away that I wish I could see more. Let's give this a whirl and see what happens. Keep it clean! Remember, our parents have access too and our grandchildren could even read this someday. (although I imagine this techology will seem as ancient as a record player by that time)

How this works is that you would post a comment to this (or any other post) and then as people comment, a thread of conversation can be viewed (by looking at the commments posted) We could even eventually set up our own blogspot (not connected to my other one) and then we all could log on and post directly. I was thinking that if you had a post that you wanted to put on that you could email me the verbage for now and I'd post it for you.

Anyone on board with this or did my marriage to a computer geek totally wreck me :)

I love this idea. I'd love to keep up with all the cousins. I usually get my "blog" info from mom & dad. It's kinda like playing "telephone"
Let's face it the info is often delayed and can be inaccurate.

Way to go Amy!

This is crazy (because it was my sister's idea), but it just might work (because she is a Clouse). I will confess it took me about 15 attempts to do this, so I'm hoping to become a bit more proficient on future posts.

Here's the news from Kendallville, USA: I just returned from a 5 day drug court conference in St. Louis; the boys have 2 days of school left before summer recess; and Kim is set for foot surgery on 6/11.

Hope all is well with each of you.

Is there a way to post photos?

Hi cousins. Great idea, Melinda!

We are gearing up for a trip to Ireland, (leaving the baby with Kevin's parents). Some of you may recall that we're keeping our friend's dog while they spend the year working abroad. We wanted to be sure and take advantage of the opportunity to visit while they're there. Sound like fun? I'm a little anxious about missing Trevor, but I know we will enjoy our time.

Steve- there is a way to post photos but not in comments. I can post if you send it to me by email, I'll save and then post it.

Carla- Thanks for the encouragement after my brother's "crazy" comment. We won't start a sibling feud in the first post though.

Have fun on your trip, Annie! What an adventure.

I just learned of blog through email notices about new comments. I think it's a great idea, though I think I am totally in the technology slow lane re: blogging. I'll need some coaching on blog etiquette, but here goes.

Our news: The girls' soccer team is undefeated (1 more game. Hopefully this bragging is not a jinx). We are still in school until 6/17 (ugh). Weekend of 6/21 Dave, Sarah and us will be at Mom and Dad's for the Holdeman Reunion. (Sam has a music rectial and so he and Karen have to stay home). We are going to Poland on 7/16 for 10 or 11 days.

As I'm writing this I'm struck how Grandma was the original Clouse blogger - she kept us all informed about who was where. Even the pastor at her funeral remarked on how she always updated him on where we all were in the world at any given moment. I miss that. I like this.

I thought you were on the original email. Sorry about that. I'll try to find it and forward to you. If you want to be in the main post part, email me the info and then I'll post it for now.

Melinda - No problem. I might have missed it. Between work and home, I have 4 email accounts to track, so stuff gets by me sometimes. Better get back to work - have a good day!

Hey, cousins...I'm finally getting around to checking this out. Let's blame it on my addiction to facebook. Anyway, it's a great idea! (Melinda...I think we're all indebted to Damon for bringing technology into our family!)

Missed seeing most of you on Sunday, but those who were able to be there enjoyed GREAT weather...which may be because, as Claire told us on the way there, "God is a Clouse!" ha ha!

BTW, here is the link to our blog: http://watchinstitute.blogspot.com/
